To be at peace

Don’t wait for life to free of storms to be at peace. Learn to stand steady within, so even when winds rise, your heart remains soft and bright.

Not shaken ~ Buddha

As a solid rock is not shaken by the wind, so the wise are not shaken by blame or praise.

Let the noise of the world pass like clouds across the sky ☁️✨

✨🪷 In ancient Buddhist teachings… the Buddha reminded us that the mind becomes unshakable only when it is trained to stand firm like a mountain, unmoved by praise or blame.

“As a solid rock is not shaken by the wind,
so the wise are not shaken by blame or praise.”

— Dhammapada, Verse 81 ✨

In this verse, the Buddha teaches upekkhā (equanimity) — the calm, steady balance that comes from understanding and letting go of upādāna (clinging). When we stop depending on others to validate us, our peace becomes our own.

No wind of opinion can move a mind rooted in wisdom.

The Buddha echoed this truth again when he said that the Eight Worldly Winds — gain & loss, pleasure & pain, praise & blame, fame & disrepute — blow through every life, but the awakened heart remains steady. 🌸✨

In the Saṃyutta Nikāya, he described the enlightened as “like a mountain unmoved by storms,” and in the Avataṃsaka Sutra, he taught: “The mind that is unmoved becomes the ground of awakening.”

So let this teaching be your reminder today:

Hold your center.
Do what is right.
Walk your path with clarity.
And let the noise of the world pass like clouds across the sky. 🌿💫
